Growth Marketing Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Growth Marketing Manager to own and lead all things organic - SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and content-driven growth. You will be the primary driver of organic traffic, search visibility, and brand authority across both our B2B and B2C brands.
You will lead the content strategy for SEO and work closely with the content team to align organic themes with social and other distribution channels. This is a senior, high-ownership role with direct collaboration with the founding and product teams, no paid marketing scope, purely organic, and content-led growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Organic Growth Strategy (SEO + GEO)
Own and drive end-to-end SEO strategy across technical, on-page, and off-page levers for both B2B and B2C brands.
Build and execute a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy to improve visibility across AI-powered search platforms (e.g., SGE, Chat-based discovery, Perplexity).
Identify high-impact keyword clusters and search trends across categories, local, and transactional queries.
Drive topical authority and sustainable long-term organic growth across all product verticals.
2. Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership
Lead content strategy for SEO - defining content pillars, topic clusters, and editorial calendars aligned to organic growth goals.
Work closely with the content team to ensure SEO themes are consistently reflected across social, email, and other organic channels.
Oversee production of high-quality, search-optimised content: blogs, guides, landing pages, comparison pages, and thought leadership pieces.
Build and maintain a content engine that serves both B2B audiences (brand partners, real estate agencies) and B2C audiences (end consumers comparing utilities and financial products).
3. Technical SEO & Website Optimisation
Work with engineering teams to improve site architecture, crawlability, indexing, and Core Web Vitals/page speed.
Implement structured data, schema markup, and internal linking frameworks at scale.
Drive SEO best practices across web and app ecosystems, ensuring alignment across all our brand properties.
4. Performance Tracking & Analytics
Define and track key organic metrics: traffic, keyword rankings, impressions, CTR, conversions, and revenue contribution.
Leverage tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush for continuous insights and optimisation.
Build dashboards and present clear, actionable performance reports to leadership.
5. Experimentation & Emerging Growth
Run structured experiments on content formats, SERP features, and AI-driven discovery channels.
Monitor and adapt to emerging trends - voice search, AI summaries, zero-click searches, and answer-engine optimisation.
Optimise for conversion from organic traffic, not just volume - ensuring SEO strategy directly impacts pipeline and revenue.
6. Team & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists, content strategists, and writers.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, performance marketing, and CRM teams.
Manage external agencies, freelancers, and content vendors to ensure quality and delivery timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Must Have
6-10 years of hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, and organic growth roles.
Strong expertise in technical SEO, keyword strategy, and content scaling across B2B and B2C contexts.
Hands-on proficiency with SEO and analytics tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4.
Proven track record of driving significant organic traffic growth and measurable revenue impact.
Deep understanding of AI-led search evolution (SGE, answer engines) and practical GEO strategies.
Experience leading content strategy and collaborating with editorial, design, and social teams.
Strong analytical mindset - able to turn data into clear decisions and narratives.
Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal.
Bachelor/degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
Experience in marketing to Australian, UK, or US consumer markets.
Prior exposure to comparison platforms, white-label SaaS, or fintech/utilities verticals.
Familiarity with programmatic SEO and large-scale content automation.
Experience with CMS platforms and basic HTML/CSS for SEO implementation.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
