About the Role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Kubernetes, observability, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines, deployment safety, and rollback mechanisms.
• Develop self-service tools to improve developer productivity.
• Implement observability solutions covering metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Improve system reliability through capacity planning, load testing, and incident management.
• Integrate security practices, secrets management, access controls, and policy enforcement.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes, networking, autoscaling, and workload isolation.
• Monitor and reduce cloud costs through effective cost management.
• Participate in on-call rotations, write postmortems, and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE roles.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong IaC skills using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes or equivalent orchestration platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Argo CD.
• Working knowledge of GitOps, Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Understanding of Policy as Code, admission control, and platform security.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with service meshes, API gateways, or multi-cluster networking.
• Database operations experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
• Experience in FinOps, cloud cost optimisation, Backstage, or Crossplane.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tools.
