SM -Finance (Plant Accounting)

Role Overview

The Senior Manager - Finance (Plant Accounting) will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial activities related to plant accounting across multiple business units. The role involves driving financial control, supporting business decision-making through analytics, ensuring compliance, and leading strategic initiatives such as ERP implementation and capex evaluation. The incumbent will also play a key role in shaping financial strategies for existing and new plants.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end finance and accounting operations including cost accounting, book closure, inventory management, audits, financial controls, and compliance across multiple legal entities
• Manage audits and ensure timely delivery of all compliance and corporate requirements
• Provide financial insights to the business through profitability analysis, margin profiling, and other analytics
• Develop and drive business plans and financial strategies for existing and new plant operations
• Lead ERP implementation initiatives specific to plant accounting
• Evaluate ROI for capital expenditure (capex) decisions
• Perform plant accounting and variance analysis across products
• Collaborate with internal teams (sourcing, operations, finance) and external stakeholders (vendors/customers) for seamless financial operations

Requirements

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing or plant environment
• Strong exposure to financial reporting standards, financial analysis, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks
• Willingness to travel

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and their application in plant operations
• Expertise in plant accounting across multiple branches
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Effective communication skills in English (and local language, if required)

Education:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
